SEO VS PPC: WHICH STRATEGY IS RIGHT FOR YOUR BUSINESS?

Search engine optimization (SEO) and pay-per-click advertising (PPC) are two of the most popular online marketing strategies today, but are they just random letters placed together for you? If so, here's our rundown of which option may be best for you and your brand. 😎

Both techniques have their pros and cons, and the best option for your business depends on your specific needs and goals - so, it's wise to compare the two and pick the best possible option.

Here are 3 key points to consider when deciding between SEO and PPC...

1. COST

PPC can be more expensive than SEO in the short term, but it can also deliver faster results - PPC costs can also vary accordingly, depending on your goals and campaign strategy.

SEO requires a longer-term investment but can provide sustainable traffic growth over time. Consider your budget and timeframe when choosing between the two, as both can be great investments when seen from an outside perspective but if you're after quick-fire results, SEO may not be the choice for you!

2. TARGET AUDIENCE

Consider the demographics and interests of your target audience. If they are more likely to click on ads, PPC may be a better option. However, if they are more likely to trust organic search results, investing in SEO may be more beneficial.

If you're aiming for an older audience, we would probably suggest PPC as younger generations tend to see through the hype of advertisements and go for what is being suggested organically rather than the most obvious choice.

3. GOALS

Finally, consider what you want to achieve with your online marketing. Are you looking for immediate sales or leads? PPC may be the way to go.

Are you interested in building long-term brand recognition and organic traffic? SEO may be the better choice.

Both options will gain you results in due course, and we would probably recommend dabbling in both when the time and budget is right!
